Urban landscapes face escalating challenges from environmental degradation, severe weather events, and climate vulnerability. Integrating natural ecological processes into built environments through Blue-Green Infrastructure (BGI) is essential for enhancing urban resilience, biodiversity, and water security. This Capacity Building Programme (CBP) equips planners, architects, and municipal professionals with systematic approaches to transition BGI concepts into actionable spatial planning and design strategies.

The curriculum bridges spatial analysis with contextual design interventions, focusing on nature-based solutions, urban hydrological systems, and green space connectivity. By combining theoretical foundations with practical planning frameworks, participants will learn how to evaluate urban ecological networks, assess spatial vulnerabilities, and implement sustainable blue-green infrastructure projects across diverse urban scales.
